About Maureen O’Connor

“In my current work, I explore industrial architecture and domestic landscape as transformative spaces. North American society and her landscape are in an important time filled with political and philosophical change. Many public institutions are being considered for closure or currently lay dormant waiting in flux. These spaces constitute way stations between the previous life and a future transformation. Land use and architectural infrastructure comment on the idea of inclusion and how a society strives for the idea of unity and inclusion for all.” – Maureen O’Connor, Artist Statement
